Board of Directors
Open Board Seats:

Director of Competition:

The BENSC Director of Competition is part of the Executive Board of Directors.  This board seat is a two year term, with no term limits.

​

The BENSC Director of Competition will be responsible for the following items:

  • Along with the BENSC Administrator, act as the BENSC representative for NYSL, and attend scheduled end of season meetings.

  • Act as the BENSC representative for NRDP and attend any scheduled meetings.

  • Collaborate with the BENSC Director of Coaching and Administrator to determine team roster placement and meet league registration deadlines.

  • Organize and schedule all 8U-19U fall and spring practice schedules by collaborating with the BENSC Administrator, Director of Facilities and BPS.

  • Make sure that all 8U-19U teams have all required equipment each season. Work with the BENSC Treasurer to order all necessary team equipment each season (ex: game balls, pinnies, goalie gloves, cones, etc).

  • Help run the BENSC soccer tournament each year (ex: set up, attendance during the weekend, clean up)

  • Perform other duties as may be delegated by the Board of Directors.

Director of Business Development:

The BENSC Director of Business Development is a one year term, with no term limits.  This board seat will be voted on yearly.

The BENSC Director of Business Development will be responsible for the following items:

  • Work to secure sponsorships for BENSC. (Whole club sponsors, tourney sponsors, competitive/developmental sponsors, etc)

    • Collaborate with the BENSC Administrator and Director of Coaching to create sponsorship packages

    • Build and maintain relationships with the Bennington community business owners as well as companies outside of Bennington

    • Prepare and deliver “sales pitches” to prospective sponsors

    • Negotiate sponsorship agreements

  • Marketing for BENSC

    • Design and order signs to be posted around the community for registration

    • Design and order backdrops for pictures for our home festivals and tourneys

    • Post on our social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram)

    • Place signs around and outside the community announcing registration dates

  • Brainstorm and help generate ideas for additional fundraising for our club

  • Help run the BENSC soccer tournament each year (ex: set up, attendance during the weekend, clean up)

  • Perform other duties as may be delegated by the Board of Directors.
