Bennington Soccer Club is a non-profit, community based youth organization, located in Bennington, Nebraska. The mission of our Club is to provide the youth of the Bennington area and surrounding communities the opportunity to participate in recreational and competitive soccer leagues by teaching and demonstrating soccer skills, sportsmanship, honesty, respect, and fair play. To provide a safe environment where our youth not only can excel in their soccer skills but also learn the importance of physical fitness in their lives. To provide an atmosphere where the player’s emotional well-being will be nurtured as they learn the importance of teamwork, determination, persistence, and hard work. All members will work towards instilling in our youth the enjoyment and fun aspects of the game of soccer.

BENSC expects all coaches, parents/spectators and players to abide by the rules of the game and to show respect for every individual out on the pitch.

BENSC partners with Nebraska State Soccer as well as Nebraska Youth Soccer League.​

In accordance with US Soccer and our governing bodies, NYSL has strict discipline procedures and sanctions (NYSL Operating Rules 6.01) for anyone guilty of using a racial slur or derogatory comment. Additionally, any comment of this nature directed at an official is subject to severe sanctions under the USSF Referee Abuse Prevention Policy (531-9). NRDP has established procedures for referees who are notified of such incidents, and both NYSL and NRDP use FairWhistle reports to identify incidents and initiate investigations. While the reporting procedures and disciplinary measures are in place, it is clear that we still have work to do. 

 

 

Racism has no place in our game. Any such behavior will be addressed seriously. 

Soccer is a competitive game, and emotions can run high. However, there is never a circumstance in which a player, coach, parent, or spectator should cross the line and make racist or discriminatory comments toward another person.

We appreciate your support and partnership as we continue working together to ensure that every player, referee, coach, and family member can participate in a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment. Our players deserve nothing less.

During the registration process, all players and parents are required to agree to the code of conduct outlined for them.  Please thoroughly read through the rules and abide by them before, during and after all practices and games.

BENSC will work with NSS, NYSL and NRDP to enforce these rules.
