Board of Director Bios
Terry and his wife Sherry have been involved with the Bennington Soccer Club as soccer parents since 2016 when their sons, Corey and Zach, began playing. While Terry’s collegiate athletic experience comes as a former college baseball player, it is his leadership experience in both academia and community organizations which benefit the BENSC.
After serving on the staff at Theta Chi International Headquarters in Indianapolis as a Leadership and Education Consultant, Terry was hired by the University of Michigan. While on staff at the University of Michigan Terry was honored to teach Leadership Development as an adjunct instructor in the Sociology Department. After several years at the University of Michigan, Terry moved to Macomb, Illinois where he served in leadership roles in the Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce, the Development Board of the McDonough County Hospital, and the Board of Directors for the Salvation Army.
Having grown up playing soccer my entire life, I couldn't wait for my daughter to take on the same love of the game that I have. I was looking for a club that would challenge my daughter on the field with coaching styles that would help her grow as a player as well as an individual. I was fortunate enough to find this in Bennington. We have been blessed with amazing coaches and teammates.
I joined the board in 2014. I have learned that BENSC is more than a regular club. It's a family. I am excited about the growth our Club is seeing. I am looking forward to watching our players continue to grow as players and as individuals and to love the game of soccer!
Ratina and her husband Matt (a Bennington graduate) have been involved with Bennington Soccer since 2014. Ratina has four children; Bodie (2011), Jolie (2012), Berklie (2014), and Maddie (2017); in which three, and soon to be four, of her children are playing soccer for BENSC.
Ratina is a stay at home mom with a business management background. She joined the Bennington Soccer Club board at Treasurer in January 2020.
Ratina looks forward to helping the Bennington Soccer Club continue to grow and aid kids with their love of soccer.

While at UNLV he earned several awards and honors including: three NCAA tournament appearances, Big West champions 1985 and 1987 (AKA: Pacific Coast Athletic Association, PCAA), 1986, 1987, 1988 all Big-West honors for defense, 1987 All far-West honors, All American candidate, Herman trophy award nominee/finalist, and Inducted into the UNLV Hall of Fame as part of the 1985 UNLV Men’s soccer team (18-2-2 overall record).

My involvement with Bennington Soccer Club started when my oldest, who is now in college, was five. Fast forward to today what was supposed to be a one year stint as a volunteer coach has turned into over a decade of coaching all three of my daughters and dozens of other girls and boys in their respective developmental and competitive teams for BENSC.
Currently I am the lead instructor for the 2009G age group and also the head coach of the club's high school girls team. I am extremely grateful to be a part of their soccer journey.
I have been very fortunate to be surrounded by men and women - through coaching and past club and state board experience - who are as passionate about the game and who collectively have made a positive impact for the ones that truly matter - our players.
I look forward to helping BENSC continue to provide the best possible soccer experience for our kids.
