Hello BENSC Families,
Starting in summer 2022, BENSC has partnered with Sports Connect for our future registration needs. Nebraska State Soccer and BENSC will be using Sports Connect as our registration platform for all programs moving forward.
New users will create an account with Sports Connect before registering. Once you have set up your players profiles with their birth year (and including a head shot photo) you can begin the registration process by selecting an available program that is open.
At the beginning of the registration process, you MUST include a headshot photo of your player and upload their birth certificate.
Any questions with an * are required to be completed. Those without an * are not required. NSS has the option to upload a SafeSport certificate during registration. This is NOT required and can just be skipped over.

Please make sure to click on the "Payment Options" button for each player in your household. Then you can choose to "pay in full" or pay with the "payment plans". You can not proceed past this screen until you choose a payment option.
BENSC will be using TeamSnap for all our clubs communication needs. TeamSnap has great features for each team such as, communication (email and chats), rosters and scheduling with calendars that will sync to your phone. Please download the TeamSnap app today.
Only one parent (the primary parent who completed registration will be added to the TS account when the player is rostered to a team. That parent/primary account holder, can add as many additional family members to their account as they wish. Please reference this article for instructions:

Spring 2023 Seasonal Info:
Before you begin the registration process, below are some important updates to be aware of:
Chrome Browser - If you are having any difficulties using another browser, please try Chrome. Also, if you have any difficulties on a mobile device (phone/tablet) please try on a computer or laptop.
Birth Certificate Upload - will be required within Sports Connect to upload a picture of your child's birth certificate so we are in compliance with Nebraska State Soccer regulations. You will be prompted to upload a jpg of the birth certificate to each player's profile in Sports Connect. If your file is too large, please take a screen shot of the birth certificate and upload the screen shot to the account. This should lower the file size. You can also try using this website to compress your file: https://compressjpeg.com/
Player Photo - Please remember to add a head shot of your child to their player profile. This head shot will be used for their player pass that is used at the beginning of each game for team check-in by the referee. The head shot photo is mandatory for competitive players and strongly encouraged for developmental players. The player's head shot should be similar to a driver's license photo so the referee can easily identify the player with their picture. Please do not have multiple people or pets in the photo, this should be a close up picture of each child by themselves.
Seasonal Registration Programs - Nebraska State Soccer requires clubs to open registration for one season at a time. You cannot register for Fall and Spring soccer at the same time.
Transaction Fee - Sports Connect will charge a $3.00 transaction fee for the initial order (regardless of the number of players on the order). If the registration is set up on a payment plan, each player on the payment plan will be charged an additional transaction fee when the payment plan is collected.
Refunds - Refund request should be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org. Refunds will only be considered if the request is submitted prior to the age group's second practice session less $15 administration fee. Refunds will not be issued after the start of the age group's second practice session. Refunds due to medical reasons will be reviewed by the Board on a case-by-case basis. Medical documentation may be required. The refund amount will be pro-rated based on the amount of time into the season and costs the club incurred.
Late Fee - A $25.00 late fee will be added onto the price of registration for all players requesting to register after the date that registration has closed.
1st & 2nd child are regular price, 3rd child and above receive $70.00 discount (each). Discounts are for registration fee only and applied to the least expensive player's registration fees.
There is a payment plan to help with the cost of spring and fall registration fees. The first payment is due at the time of registration, the second/final payment will be due on the date the fall/spring season begins.
Form of Payment Accepted
Going forward BENSC will no longer be accepting cash/checks for registration fees. All payments must be completed electronically during the registration process.
BENSC Coaches Refund
Every BENSC Coach will receive a 50% refund on registration fees for each child that plays for BENSC.
To receive this refund, each coach will need to fill out a Google Form (emailed to you during the middle of the Fall/Spring season) listing the team they coached and the number of children playing in the club.
All coaches must complete the 3 Coaching Requirements and fill out the Google Form to be issued a refund check.
If multiple family members coach for the club only one 50% registration refund will be given per child.

Play Up Request Information
Bennington Soccer Club (BENSC) has a Play Up Committee that handles all play up requests. When a parent asks if their player can “play up” to another team, the committee asks for an initial assessment of the players skills. This initial assessment can be completed by a member of the committee or one of the coaches involved with the players current team.
Prior to being allowed, the Director of Coaching would complete one final skill assessment, discuss the potential move with all coaches, and let the parent know of the decision once this is completed.
A few things to consider: a player can be a guest player on any team within our club for tournaments and or league games if they are younger. This will allow the coach to assess the players skill and/or allows the player the opportunity to play on a higher level team. Playing in a game/tournament at a coaches request does not automatically mean a play up request was granted or the process has been completed, it also does not interfere with their current team status.
All coaches are informed of a play up request (this means the players current coach and the coach of the requested age group). There will be communication between all coaches, the DOC and the Play Up Committee to make sure the play up request benefits all involved. BENSC's commitment is to the player, not an individual team or coach. We believe all players should have the opportunity to develop with players of similar skill level and if that cannot be accomplished in their own age group, then a play up request may be allowed. We do not grant play up requests solely to make a select team or because the coach would like the player.
