On Monday, November 9th, the governor of Nebraska updated statewide directed health measures that directly relate to youth soccer. Attached are the outlines of changes put forth by Governor Ricketts. The most specific orders that relate to all of us in youth soccer are:
Only immediate household family members may attend indoor youth sporting events.
All indoor activity attendance needs to be at or below 25% of the rated occupancy
Nebraska State Soccer takes all COVID related issues and measures with the utmost seriousness and importance, and we remind all our members to stay vigilant and follow these orders. As many of our members move to indoor soccer activities, it is important that clubs and coaches check with the facilities you are using and with your county health department to determine the official limited capacity to make sure all activities follow these regulations. Nebraska State Soccer will NOT sanction any activity that is in violation of the governor’s DHM’s. We also continue to urge all members to wear masks and keep a 6ft. social distance between groups at all times when in and around soccer activities.
We are all very thankful for the care and concern our membership displayed throughout the fall to enable all of us to play soccer these past few months and remind everyone to continue to do their part this winter.
