Spring 2021 Information

Spring 2021 schedule will run from mid March - mid June depending on weather and Covid-19 restrictions.

Please read the following info from our DOC, Ed Anibal, about player assessments for Spring 2021:

BENSC will NOT be conducting competitive player assessments this Spring as communicated previously. Competitive player assessments will take place prior to the Fall 2021 season.

However, all NEW players to BENSC will need to be assessed prior to team placement in age groups that have multiple teams. In order to continue the practice of placing like skilled players together, these assessments will be conducted at a date and time prior to the beginning of the season. The assessments will be set up and run by BENSC coaching staff and other volunteers.

We apologize for the confusion or misinformation, but these are extraordinary times. The safety and health of our players, coaches, and parents remain a priority and were considered when making the decision to once again postpone assessments.

We will communicate the date, time and location of the NEW player assessments within the next 7-14 days.

Thank you,

Ed Anibal

Teams in these age groups play in the the following league:

The games for the Fall season should start in mid/late August and finish the end of October or beginning of November.  The games for the Spring season should start in late March/early April and end by mid June.  Most teams play a minimum of a 6-8 match schedule depending on number of teams in their division.

Teams play at various fields in the Omaha metro area. Some travel may be required (ie. Bellevue, Blair, Elkhorn, Fremont, Gretna, Millard, Murray, Nebraska City, Omaha, Papillion, Plattsmouth, Ralston, Springfield, Lincoln, York, Council Bluffs, IA, Glenwood, IA, & Sioux City, IA).

Practices - location and number of - will be determined by the coach. Location may vary depending on field availability throughout the City of Bennington. Most practices are held at the Bennington Middle School, Bus Barn and Bennington High School practice fields.

Teams will likely compete in one or more tournaments during the season. This is organized by the team coach and tournament fees are in addition to the regular registration fee.

Due to High School soccer in the Spring Season, BENSC usually does not have enough players currently in 9th - 12th grade to form BENSC teams for those related birth years.
