Fall 2021 Information
Fall 2021 Assessments:
Unfortunately, we have decided to move the 8U-11U assessments to the weekend of June 26th and 27th instead of July 17th . Several factors went into making this decision, but ultimately having to submit final rosters to the Nebraska State Soccer no later than July 16th was the determining factor. I would like to express my most sincere apology for those who may have rescheduled family events due to this but know that this decision was made in the best interest of the players. As most of you know, assessments are a major factor in forming our teams in age groups with multiple teams. Holding the assessments after the due date would have caused confusion and mixed messages to parents and coaches alike. By holding assessments before the Nebraska State Soccer team formation deadline, we will be able to form teams based on those players with “like” skills. As I mentioned previously, players at the same skill level tend to develop at a faster rate when playing with other like skilled players.
Once again, my apologies for this change… We will be cancelling the 7/17 assessment date but keeping the makeup date on 7/22. Please remove your player from the July 17th Sign Up Genius list. We ask that you sign up for a new assessment time slot on June 26, June 27, or the make up assessment date of July 22nd.
Here is a link for an 8U-11U Player Assessment Guide that you can reference before the July Assessments.
If you cannot make the July 17th assessment date, there will be ONE make up date on July 22nd from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.

Assessments for all other age groups 12U and above will be conducted by the head coach of each team, assisted by BENSC Director of Coaching, Assistant Director of Coaching, and/or other available board members or coaching staff. These assessments will need to be completed prior to August 15, 2021. Team formations/rosters will need to be turned into Nebraska State Soccer and the Nebraska Youth Soccer League before the August 15th assessment deadline. Coaches will need to work with BENSC board members to create team rosters to meet the league deadlines.
BENSC uses TeamGenius software to track the development of all its players. TeamGenius is an electronic software program that can be used to score and track the development of players and is easily downloaded to any smart phone.
A brief tutorial will be scheduled prior to the July 17th assessment date and invitations to participate in the assessment process will be sent to all interested coaches.
As a club, we have determined that by conducting player assessments, we are better able to match "like" skilled players together which ultimately improves their individual development.
At the conclusion of player assessments, a coaches meeting for each age group 8U-10U will be scheduled. The meetings will review the player assessment results, attain valuable coaches’ input, and ultimately match like skilled players together forming the teams for each group.
It will be the coaches responsibility moving forward to complete these assessments prior to the Fall season annually (with BENSC coaching staff support and direction).
Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns.

Teams will likely compete in one or more tournaments during the season. This is organized by the team coach and tournament fees are in addition to the regular registration fee.
Due to High School soccer in the Spring Season, BENSC usually does not have enough players currently in 9th - 12th grade to form BENSC teams for those related birth years.
