VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers Needed

The Bennington Soccer Club is run 100% by volunteers. The success of this program is dependent on parents and other volunteers who are willing to donate time for the welfare of the children, and of the community. Each season the club is in need of volunteers to help as coaches and assistant coaches. The club strongly supports the development of coaches through in-house clinics, coaching handbooks, coaching literature and club-funded instructional clinics.

The Club is also embarking on a long term strategic planning process to ensure we have enough practice fields, game fields, equipment and coaching knowledge. We are in great need of volunteers to help with these efforts. Of course, there are a number of behind-the-scenes activities that need to happen in order for each weekend to be successful. Many of these activities require very little time, but are crucial to the success of Bennington Soccer.

To volunteer contact a board member or email info@benningtonsoccer.org

Coach / Assistant Coach

Coaches create a positive learning environment teaching sportsmanship, fundamental skills, teamwork and responsibility.  Pre-season coaching clinics are offered each season. No experience necessary except the enthusiasm and patience to work with kids. Coaches are provided continuous support through associations the Nebraska State Soccer Association and metro area college coaches.

Volunteer coaches are the backbone of youth sports. Without parents volunteering their time the youth sports world would come to a halt. Please consider giving your time.

Division Coordinator

Serve as a communication and organizational link between the board and the club. Coordinators aid in recruiting coaches, creating teams and are on the field as a club representative during practices and games. Division coordinators are assigned according to the division their child is playing in. No soccer experience necessary.

Fundraising

To keep costs low for our players BSC looks to sponsors, donations and fundraisings. Volunteers needed to recruit sponsorship dollars or create fundraising opportunities. No soccer experience necessary. Involvement can be as little as checking to see if you company sponsors youth sports to setting up a Fundraising night with a local restaurant.

Bennington Daze Parade

The Bennington Daze Parade is hosted by the Bennington Jaycees during the month of June. Volunteers needed to organize BSC’s participation in the club.

Board Positions

Variety positions on the board; President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Registrar, Secretary. Board members handle many of the behind the scene duties required to keep the organization progressing. Board meetings are open to the public.
