Teams in these age groups play under one of the following leagues:
These leagues manage the match scheduling process. The games for the Fall should start in late August/early September and end in October. The games for the Spring should start in late March/early April and end in May. Most teams play a minimum of a 6-8 match schedule depending on number of teams in their division.
Teams play at various fields in the Omaha metro area. Some travel may be required (ie. Bellevue, Blair, Elkhorn, Fremont, Gretna, Millard, Murray, Nebraska City, Omaha, Papillion, Plattsmouth, Ralston, Springfield, Lincoln, York, Council Bluffs, IA, Glenwood, and IA, Sioux City, IA).
Practices - location and number of - will be determined by the coach. Location may vary depending on field availability throughout the City of Bennington.
Teams will likely compete in one or more tournaments during the season. This is organized by the team coach and tournament fees are in addition to the regular registration fee.
Due to High School soccer in the Spring Season, we usually do not have enough players born between 1999-2002 to form BENSC teams for these birth years in the Spring.
Eastern Nebraska Soccer Association (ENSA) is an association of about 35 soccer clubs and organizations, whose primary function is to serve as a scheduling league, scheduling games between teams from our member clubs. ENSA operates as a member organization of Nebraska State Soccer Association.
Based in Omaha NE, ENSA member clubs are at home in a 40 mile radius of Omaha. Besides Omaha, teams are often entered from Bennington, Blair, Bellevue, Elkhorn, Fremont, Gretna, Murray, Papillion, Plattsmouth, LaVista, Lincoln, Ralston, Springfield and Valley/Waterloo on the Nebraska side of the Missouri, and Council Bluffs and Glenwood on the Iowa side. Games may be played in any of these locations.
Member clubs will enroll over 225 teams into ENSA divisions for teams from U9 through U19.
Depending on the number of entries, ENSA many have 4 or 5 divisions per age and gender. Teams will be placed in divisions according to their previous performances and skill levels to assure balanced competition. ENSA offers Divisions 1-5 soccer for U9 and U10, and Divisions 2-4 for U11-19.
Nebraska League's purpose is to ensure the best possible competitve play among the soccer teams in Nebraska and bordering states, to promote opportunities for incerased development of youth soccer players and teams, and to provide for an improved administrative structure, the Nebraska State Soccer Association establishes the Nebraska League for youth soccer players in Nebraska and bordering states.
Coaches are now elligible for $100 to use each year for team equipment. Any questions on the program please contact your competition coordinator or club treasurer.
If you have any special schedule requests or are coaching more than one team in ENSA, Nebraska League or NSL you will need to login to your team account with ENSA and notate them within one week of the break out meeting. For Nebraska League and NSL you will need to enter your "can play" dates during registration to play in these respective leagues.
